So, here I am driving to work on a very cold morning just going about my routine.  I am listening to the radio, driving the same route that I could drive in my sleep without even thinking twice about what I am doing.  Then, I pull up to a red light and am really just looking straight forward at the light waiting for it to turn green so that I will get to work on time when something lands on my windshield right in front of my field of vision…a snowflake.  Now, normally I would start to look around and see a bunch of flakes falling and smile because I like snow, but instead this particular snowflake kept my attention.  It landed right in front of me and was completely intact.  It looked like somebody drew a perfect snowflake, shrunk it down to size and stuck it on my windshield, it was amazing.  Now, I have seen quite a few flakes in my life, but there are usually so many, or as is the case in Georgia, they melt as soon as they come in contact with anything.  But this one didn’t melt…it stayed just the way it was long enough for me to stop going through the regular routine and slow down and focus on the extreme detail of God’s creation.  Pretty cool for a really cold Wednesday morning.
Well, the light turned green and I couldn’t exactly pull out my camera while driving and away goes the snowflake.  For the record I still made it to work on time, but I went back outside while a few flakes were still coming down…in the very very cold weather, and was able to capture a few flakes that landed on my truck.  Enjoy!
